Why the unique method of fundraising?
Good question. There are three reasons. Number one, it's simple. The promotion allows for a very clean and simple way to take unwanted items of value and turn them into a useful project of goodwill. Secondly, it's memorable. The American donor especially, has been inundated with appeals to give over the past few weeks. This promotion has the opportunity to cut through the "clutter" of Haiti giving opportunities to draw attention to this very unique rebuilding project. And finally, it's practical. The timing works. Spring house cleaning is partly about getting rid of items we no longer need or want. Everything from vehicles, to housewares, to appliances that are no longer needed create giving opportunities for your listeners.

Yes. Children's Relief has been working through a local partner in Haiti for some time but has recently made a decision to head up a team to focus on a rebuilding effort in the country.

That is your decision. We recommend four to six per day but appreciate your promotion at any level.

How does the Virtual Garage Sale work?
